Side Effects

Like all medicines, Kwells Kids can cause side effects, although not every child gets them. These may include a dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision and enlarged pupils. Reduced sweating can also cause a rise in body temperature, particularly in hot conditions.

If your child feels sleepy or dizzy, or their vision is blurred, they should not cycle or do activities that require clear vision and alertness.

Restlessness, confusion and hallucinations have also been reported. Children with epilepsy may experience more seizures. Contact your doctor immediately if your child reacts badly to the tablets. Call NHS 111 for suspected serious side effects; call 999 for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as difficulty breathing or swelling of the tongue or throat.

Read the patient information leaflet for the full list of side effects and precautions.
