About Impetigo

Impetigo is a contagious bacterial skin infection. Sores or blisters can burst and leave golden crusts, often around the nose and mouth.

A small area can often be treated with a cream. If the infection is more widespread or blistering, antibiotic tablets may be appropriate. A UK-registered prescriber will assess your symptoms and decide which treatment is right for you.
