What is Dymista Nasal Spray?

Dymista nasal spray is used to relieve the symptoms of allergies such as runny nose, post-nasal drip, sneezing and itchy or blocked nose. It contains two active ingredients- azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate. Azelastine hydrochloride is part of a group of medicines called antihistamines that work by preventing the effects that the body produces as part of an allergic reaction (such as histamine). Fluticasone propionate is part of a group of medicines called corticosteroids which reduces inflammation in the nasal passages.

Dymista nasal spray is used to alleviate symptoms of moderate to severe seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis and is often prescribed if the use of intranasal antihistamine or corticosteroid alone is not managing your symptoms. Seasonal allergies are affected by substances such as pollen (hay fever) and perennial allergies that can come from pets, house mites, dust or mould.
