What causes insomnia?

Insomnia is a disorder in which you have trouble sleeping. Initially, you may have trouble falling asleep. Or you may wake too soon. Next day you may be sleepy and irritable.

Insomnia causes a lack of concentration and depressed mood. Symptoms can be long term, lasting for days or weeks. Another ailment can cause sleeplessness. For example you may have chronic pain or be under stress. Working night shifts can also affect sleep pasterns.

How do you treat insomnia?

First of all check your sleep hygiene. Initially you should try to go to bed at a consistent time and get plenty of sunlight. Finally regular exercise is a great aid in insomnia cases. Use medication such as Nytol. You should Use Nytol for four to five weeks only.

Dosage

For oral short term use only.

Adults and the elderly:

Two tablets to be taken approximately one hour before bedtime.

Not recommended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age (See Section 4.4. special warnings and precautions for use’)

Duration of use:

As the effects of this product may not occur immediately, it should be taken continuously for 2 – 4 weeks.

If symptoms worsen or persist after 4 weeks, a doctor or a qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted.
