What are Dioralyte Blackcurrent powders used for?

Dioralyte Blackcurrent powders work by replacing the water and salts lost from your body when you have diarrhoea.

For example, It contains glucose and salts (these are sodium chloride, potassium chloride and disodium hydrogen citrate). The powder is mixed with water before taking.

What causes diarrhoea?

Stomach bugs usually cause diarrhoea., it is common in adults and children. The symptoms normally clear up in a few days.

How do I treat diarrhoea?

You should stay at home and rest. Next, drink lots of fluids.

Dosage

Adults (including the elderly)

One or two sachets after each loose stool

Children

One sachet after each loose stool

Babies up to 2 years old

This medicine should only be given to babies under 2 years old under the guidance of a doctor
