What is Fluticasone Propionate ?
Fluticasone nasal spray is used for the treatment of allergy symptoms and is the generic equivalent of Flixonase. It contains the medicine fluticasone proportionate which is part of a group of medicines known as steroids (also called corticosteroids). Steroids work by reducing inflammation, swelling and irritation within the nasal passages and help relieve itchy, blocked and runny noses and prevent sneezing.
Fluticasone is used for the prevention and treatment of inflammation caused by seasonal allergies such as hay fever and year-round allergies that can come from house mites or animals.
