Emergency Dentist Middlesborough

Welcome to our Emergency Dentist Service – your trusted partner in dental emergencies. Accidents happen, and when they involve your teeth, prompt action is crucial. If you or a loved one has suffered a dental emergency, don’t panic; we’re here to help. If it’s urgent, and it’s outside of practice hours, we will prioritise emergency patients and aim to get you an appointment within 24-48 hours.

Permanent Teeth

A permanent tooth doesn’t have the luxury of regrowing, but with quick response and proper care, we can increase the chances of saving it. First and foremost, locate the dislodged tooth and handle it delicately. Avoid scrubbing or brushing, as this could cause harm. Instead, rinse it gently with either milk or salt water to maintain its integrity.

The next steps are important in preserving the tooth. If feasible, reinsert it into the socket and bite down on a tissue to secure it in place. For parents dealing with a child’s knocked-out tooth, encourage them to bite down on the tissue. If reinsertion isn’t possible, store the tooth in a container filled with either milk or saliva – both of which help maintain its viability. After securing the tooth, your immediate action is to contact us and schedule an emergency appointment. When calling, provide details about the situation, emphasising that you have the tooth and explaining how you are preserving it. Our skilled team is ready to guide you through the process and provide the timely care needed to maximize the chances of saving your precious permanent tooth.
