Piriton Allergy Tablets
Piriton 4mg Hayfever Allergy Tablets, are a antihistamine medicine used to relieve allergies such as Hay Fever and more.
An allergy is when the body has a reaction to a particular food or substance, affecting more than 1 in 4 people in the UK at some point in their lives. Common symptoms of allergies are: sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and itching.
Piriton is an antihistamine medicine which is a popular treatment for allergies, such as: hay fever, skin allergies, hives, food allergies, mould spore allergies, house dust mite allergies, pet allergies and insect bites. It can also be used to relieve the itchiness of chickenpox.
The active ingredient, chlorphenamine maleate, works by blocking the effects of histamine to relieve allergy symptoms. Piriton tablets should be taken at the first sign of an allergic reaction or over a period of time to prevent symptoms such as hay fever during a high pollen season to provide long-term allergy relief.

How should Piriton antihistamine tablets be used?
Take by mouth only. Not recommended for children under the age of 6 years.
Dosage for Adults and children over 12 years:
Take 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 6 tablets (24mg) in any 24 hours.
Elderly: The elderly are more likely to experience neurological anticholinergic effects, such as blurred vision, dry mouth, flushing and hyperthermia. Consider taking a lower daily dose, e.g. maximum 12 mg in any 24 hours.
Children aged 6 – 12 years: Half tablet to be taken every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 3 tablets (12mg) in any 24 hours. When should Piriton tablets be used?
Use Piriton for the symptomatic relief of all allergic conditions responsive to antihistamines, e.g hay fever, runny nose, sneezing, hives, angioneurotic oedema (rapid swelling of the dermis), food allergy, drug and serum reactions and insect bites.
When should Piriton antihistamine tablets not be used?
Piriton tablets should not be used by anyone who is sensitive to antihistamines or any of the ingredients. Consult your GP before use if you have any other medical conditions, including, but not limited to:

epilepsy
glaucoma
prostatic hypertrophy
high blood pressure
cardiovascular disease
bronchitis
asthma
Do I need a prescription to order?
No, you don’t need a prescription from your GP to buy Piriton tablets online.
